Four elements of weighing sensor selection
1 The choice of stability
After the sensor is used for a period of time, the ability of its performance to remain unchanged is called stability. The factors that affect the long-term stability of the sensor are mainly the use environment except its own structure. Therefore, to make the sensor have good stability, it must have Strong environmental adaptability, before selecting the sensor, the use environment should be investigated, and the suitable sensor should be selected according to the specific use environment, or take appropriate measures to reduce the environmental impact.
2. Selection of sensitivity
Generally, in the linear range of the sensor, it is hoped that the higher the sensitivity, the better, because only when the sensitivity is high, the output signal value corresponding to the measured is relatively large, which is beneficial to signal processing. However, when the sensitivity is high, the external noise unrelated to the measured is also amplified by the amplification system, which affects the measurement accuracy. Therefore, the sensor itself is required to have a high signal-to-noise ratio and minimize the interference signals introduced from the outside.
3. Selection of the number and range of sensors
The selection of the number of sensors is determined according to the use of the electronic weighing instrument and the number of points that the scale body needs to support (the number of support points should be determined according to the principle of making the geometric center of gravity of the scale body coincide with the actual center of gravity). The selection of the sensor range can be determined according to the comprehensive evaluation of the maximum weight of the scale, the number of selected sensors, the weight of the scale body, the maximum partial load and the possible dynamic load and other factors, generally, the sensor should work in its range of 30% to 70%, but the weighing instrument with greater impact force, when selecting the sensor, the sensor should generally work in its range of 20% to 30%, in order to ensure the safety and life of the sensor.
4. The choice of precision
Accuracy is an important performance index of the sensor, which is related to the measurement accuracy of the whole measurement system. The higher the accuracy of the sensor, the more expensive it is. Therefore, as long as the accuracy of the sensor meets the accuracy requirements of the whole measurement system, it is not necessary to choose too high. In this way, a cheaper and simpler sensor can be selected from many sensors that meet the same measurement purpose, if the purpose of measurement is qualitative analysis, the sensor with high repeatability can be selected, and it is not suitable to choose the sensor with high absolute value accuracy; if it is for quantitative analysis, accurate measurement values must be obtained, the sensor with accuracy level can meet the requirementsLoad cell.
