The domestic sensor industry is booming and the future is challenging.
A sensor is a detection device that can feel the information being measured, and can transform the sensed information into electrical signals or other required forms of information output according to a certain rule to meet the requirements of information transmission, processing, storage, Display, record and control requirements. There is still a certain gap between China and developed countries such as Europe and the United States, and the research technology is weak. At present, China's sensor technology can not fully meet the domestic demand for the time being. However, with the support of the state, the number of sensor companies and the scale of the industry in China have developed rapidly, and the future prospects are promising.
The Chinese sensor market has continued to grow in recent years, with an annual growth rate of more than 15%. In 2012, the four major areas of sensor application in China were divided into industrial control, automotive electronics, communication electronics and consumer electronics. Among them, industrial and automotive electronics products account for about 42% of the market share. The application of sensors in medical, environmental protection, meteorology and other special electronic equipment is also growing rapidly, and the sensors used account for about 15% of the market share. The large demand for sensors in the above industries provides a good development opportunity for the local sensor industry. In the next five years, the average sales growth rate of the domestic sensor market will reach 31%.
Although China's sensor market demand is high and developing rapidly, there are also problems such as low technical level, lack of types, and poor research and development capabilities. At present, there are 1688 enterprises and institutions engaged in the development, production and application of sensors in China, but there are only more than 50 enterprises engaged in the development and production of MEMS, and the scale and application are small. The lack of sufficient large-scale application has led to the problem of low technology but high price of sensors in our country, which has lost its advantage in the international market and made the market competition more intense.
According to IC Insights's 2015 new photoelectric-sensing-discrete component report, due to the rapid growth of the Internet of Things, wearable and other application markets, as well as the popularity of embedded measurement functions for automatic control systems, sensor shipments will rise sharply. However, the growth rate of sales will be dragged down by the decline in unit prices.
